Replacing the Controller's Self Signed Certificate

This section only applies to SwiftStack Controller On-Premises installations and is not relevant for SwiftStack customers using SwiftStack Controller As-a-Service.

Post-installation setup creates a self-signed certificate with a Common Name (CN) matching the hostname value in the supplied SwiftStack License. You should replace this certificate with a certificate signed by a Certificate Authority (CA) trusted by your organization. To do so, use the process below.

If you've decided to continue using the automatically generated self-signed certificate, please see Trusting the Controller's Self Signed Cert on the Nodes.

If your certificate is a new self-signed cert, or was generated by an internal certificate authority, you may need to perform the steps described in Trusting the Controller's Self Signed Cert on the Nodes. If you acquired your certificate from an authority already trusted servers in your network, you should not need to perform those steps.
