SwiftStack Controller Recovery

SwiftStack controller recovery refers to the optional feature in the SwiftStack Controller On-Premises where you can have a recovery (standby/secondary) controller linked with your primary controller. The recovery controller will get time-series metric data and backup files synced onto it. If the primary controller dies, the recovery controller can restore a backup from a Swift cluster or local files that were automatically copied from the primary controller.

Note that the data backed up and restored in the controller recovery process---information about your nodes, controller usernames and passwords, cluster statistics such as throughput and error rates, drives and ring data, etc.---are separate from the actual data in your Swift cluster. Even if your controller machine vanishes, your Swift data is still safe!
